3 out of 5 eggs Got it setup and working but not quiet what I thought it would be. 01/10/2014

This review is from: Esky H6800 H.264 Waterproof Outdoor Wireless Wi-Fi Bullet IP Camera with IR-Cut Filter, Night-Vision, 640X480, Micro SD Card Support, 30 LEDs

Shows live video on my phone when away from home.
Wireless so you only need to give it power with a normal 2 prong socket or extension cord.
Picture quality is OK

Doesn't seem to have any audio functionality despite the description saying it had two-way audio. The recordings (.avi) codec info says it has "Codec: PCM S16 LE (araw)" but there is no audio actually recorded. Also with the provided software "IP Camera Super Client" you still cannot hear any audio and there is no option to "speak" through the camera. I'm not sure if I have a dud or the software sucks, but that was a major reason for my purchase...

Setup was a pain as you will read on other reviews. The software I downloaded from the website would not recognize the camera even though it was plugged directly into my router. The software on the provided disk did work and I was able to set up the wifi function. When I went to actually mount the camera, some how it lost all the settings and the camera couldn't be found again. So I had to get it down and put it back on the router and set it up again.

Other Thoughts:

The viewing angle is pretty narrow (4:3) 640x480 at 25fps (despite the software saying its 30fps). Can set recording to VBR with peak at 1024kbps. Motion detection seems to work fine though I haven't used it because I have dogs that would set it off every 5 minutes if I did.

If you have problems be sure to use the software from the package and hook up the camera directly to the router and then run the wizard program.

The file size for each hour of the recording is about 375MB with max settings and VBR.

Going to see if something is not set up right for the audio or if I just got a dud.
