Awesome performance and shape 01/11/2014
Uses same A3095 sensor as late model g400 mice. Best verifiable optical sensor for a mouse I can find in my research. This includes the higher end gXXXs series mice which use a different sensor. No positive or negative acceleration, prediction, skipping, z axis issues, or angle snapping.
You point and it goes exactly where you tell it. (Shouldn't all mice be this way?)
For my larger hands/fingers the classic MX500 style shape here suits me well, it's good to see they aren't afraid to stick with something that people like and are familiar with. Doesn't force me into an uncomfortable claw like other mice.
Unlike other palm style mice you don't have to click the right and left button in a certain location in order to ensure a proper click. The press areas are very large.
Forward and back buttons activate with roughly the same amount of force as the main buttons, they are not flimsy and easily accidentally pressed like other manufacturers.
Cord is pretty cheap, I'm not too violent with my mice but it is definitely a step back.
Compared to my old MX 500 there are large contact areas instead of feet on the bottom of the mouse which potentially create more friction.
This could be seen as a positive as part of the reason I replaced the MX500 was that two of the feet came off.
Wheel feels a little flimsy compared to more modern mice, uses the click increment style which some people don't like, especially if they are used to the smooth movement seen on the more recent Razer mice.
CPI or DPI everyone advertises is a useless stat at this point. For the best tracking possible you want to use default values in both WIndows and Software to maintain 1:1. Using default settings and anything greater than 1800 is just overkill.
