The card itself was excellent when it worked. I found the Gigabyte cooler to be a very nice design that kept the card cool while also being pretty quiet. I didn't bother trying to tweak or OC anything since I'm only playing at 1680x1050 so I left things stock and was thrilled! Everything was going swimmingly until I started getting artifacts on the screen and sent it in for a RMA.


A full month after receiving the card I get an email from Gigabyte saying they can't repair it, but they'll offer me a R9 280X as a replacement. I'm fine with that and replied to their email saying as much. I don't hear anything for a week so I called them and apparently they're out of the replacement card they offered me. And they're out of the 7950. It'll be 2-4 weeks waiting time and then they'll send me a 7950. So after offering me an upgraded card they don't even have they rescinded their offer and I still have to wait quite a bit more. This was the first piece of Gigabyte tech I've purchased and while I really enjoyed it while it worked it will be the last after this tech support experience. I know they took some time off for the holidays and that the ATI cards are in short supply due to mining but I'm really missing my card, and I'm really annoyed that they offered me a newer card only to withdraw that offer and let me know there would be additional delays.
