NETGEAR WNDR4500 01/16/2014
This review is from: NETGEAR WNDR4500-100PAS N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n
I have had this router for over a year. It has worked well.
Not intuitive on how to rest the router and reconnect to the internet when using a cable modem. I knocked off 1 egg since it was not clear how to do this
But the one problem I was having was not being able to restart the router and reconnect to the network. The router would come back up and I could communicate with it but not the internet. In the past I would reload the firmware and then the router would connect to the internet. I discovered that if you turn off the cable modem (assuming that is how you connect to the internet) during router initialization then the router will initialize and connect to the internet. This saves me from reloading the firmware each time. I did upgrade to the latest firmware level 220.127.116.11. This approach can be found in the NETGEAR Genie application.
