Worked fine for six months 02/03/2014
Decent interface, lots of settings. Very sexy looking product, but I have mine in a cabinet, so I should have just gotten any other wifi router for half the price instead of paying for the looks.
My ethernet connections stopped working a few days ago, they were connecting to the router just fine but there was no internet connectivity. Thought that it was possibly a modem issue or with the connected device itself (TV).
Earlier this evening, I noticed that even though all my devices were connecting just fine to the router via both ethernet and wireless, there was no internet connectivity. I did notice that I could not access the router via 192.168.1.1 (ethernet or wireless) so I reset the router. After updating the firmware and playing around with the connections I noticed the following:
Whenever I rebooted the router without any ethernet devices connected, the internet worked just fine. Whenever I attached an ethernet cable to the router, it would immediately break the internet connection requiring a power cycle of the router without any ethernet devices attached to work again.
ASUS support hasn't been of much help, their suggestion was to update the firmware which I already did and mentioned in my initial correspondence to them. I did manage to find some others with the same issue:

Need to find a back-up router while this ASUS gets sorted out...
