First disappointment with Rosewill 02/09/2014

Most reasonably priced product with this capacity from a company I'm familiar with. Once I can get the PC to load Windows and run properly, it has solved the issue I was having (Spontaneous reboots under gaming/benchmark load).
Once installed its causing strange issue booting/rebooting machine. The only way it will load Windows is to stop the boot process in the BIOS, let it sit for a minute or two and then use the boot override functionality (Asus Z77 Sabertooth) to select the boot drive.
If I do not start the PC this way, it appears to start loading Windows, and then my monitor goes into power-save (sleep) mode. Once in this state, the simple press-release of the power button does not initiate a shutdown like normal. The machine is completely non-responsive.
I've swapped it back and forth twice with the old PSU (Zephyr 750), and the issue is definitely related to this Rosewill PSU. The old PSU boots the PC properly every time and runs fine as long as I don't game or run benchmarks. Its an older revision of that PSU, so unlike the newer revision of the same PSU that's in my Wife's PC, it does not meet all the specs of this hardware. It also has 5-6 years of intense use and may simply be slowly dieing.
I swap back to the Rosewill and I cannot boot the PC unless I go through that bizarre start-up process described above.
My guess is that I'll be returning it (RMA) and spending some additional to get a more premium PSU.
