This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-308E2K Powerline 200 AV Nano Adapter Kit Up to 200Mbps

Pros:

Totally plug and play, couldn't be easier to set up. Everything you need is in the box.

After plugging both units into different outlets in my little computer room I ran some tests and saw 9 - 10MB/s with very little fluctuation. I then moved the receiving unit to the far end of my house where I wanted to use it with my Roku 3. I first ran another speed test and saw around 4MB/sec which is the same as what I was getting with another brand Powerline system previously which leads me to believe my electrical wiring is the problem. 4MB/sec is still a lot faster than my wireless is able to provide in that location and this is rock solid where the wireless is not.

The price of course is a big plus. I paid a lot more for the other brand that this kit replaced after the other brand died on me after a year.

Cons:

I notice a buzz when I plug it into my power strip (but not the UPS strangely enough). Its a little annoying, but when the TV is on I can't even hear it.

Other Thoughts:

My throughput is slightly reduced due to running one unit on a UPS and the other on a power strip, but the manufacturer says that this is not recommended and to plug directly into the outlet, so that's my own fault but I prefer to have some protection at the cost of some speed.
