This review is from: AMD A10-5800K - A-Series APU Trinity Quad-Core 3.8 GHz Socket FM2 100W AMD Radeon HD 7660D Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic - AD580KWOHJBOX
Pros:
Just to warn you all I am a linux/freeware fanboy
All my findings are directly related to Gnome Ubuntu 14.04 beta 64 bit! Sorry windows.
The following frame rates were conducted by glxgears (sudo apt-get install mesa-utils)
NOTE: if using glxgears and are getting around 60fps constant type "export vblank_mode=0" in terminal
AMD 5800k APU
ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+
X-boost enabled (makes a difference)\
GFX engine @800mhz
ADATA XPG V1.0 series 8GB @1866
BitFenix Prodigy Midnight Black case (HAF imo)

NOTE: If installing steam you must have the Open Source drivers (at first) due to steam-installer looking for certain hardware values that only they have. If not they will return null and install will segfualt! After installing can you change your drivers.
PROS:
*Virtualization
*Performance
*Gaming
- was able to play BF3 (campaign) on low settings on Windows 7 at about 28fps.
- gaming performance suffers greatly on linux, could not get Left for Dead 2 at playable frames with 14.1 beta drivers (10-15fps).
*TDP
*Price/Performance
- makes it a great choice for a low budget gamer, or a htpc builder
Cons:
- Not as powerful at gaming as you may of hoped
- Slow Memory will drag this APU down anything under 1866
- I recomend an after market cooler for this, the more heat pipes the better; copper is your friend!
Overall Review:
This APU is a place holder for my Kaveri, its doing an amazing job at processing but lacks in iGPU performance even when pushing the GFX engine. Theres nothing more attractive then zooming out in my shell and seeing 30+ apps open, running vm's of windows 7 with aero and testing the new flavors of ubuntu. Only seeing an average of 80% exec cap, its a beautiful thing honestly.
