Bad Cables 03/09/2014
One of two installed cables failed in less than 30 days. Failure was confirmed by installing another manufacturer's SATA cable on the boot drive and the computer resumed normal operation. The defective cable was then placed on drive two (which was working properly) and the drive was no longer seen nor could it be accessed. Replacing the originally installed cable made the drive fully functional.
Poorly constructed cables, even with the latch (which does not seat correctly) the cables back off the port. One of two cables has continued to work properly, but one cable failed in very little time.
