good for touch screen users
feels completely different than other windows versions
hard to learn
slower boot time
This product is terrible. I've hated it since day one. It's completely different. It's designed for the mobile crowd, probably good for your kids
It focuses on touch screen blocks and tabs for navigating and apps (which you dont need any of if you're using a desktop.
there wasn't a start button in 8 but they corrected it in 8.1, but after I installed 8.1 i kept getting usb not recognized messages, and my peripherals not working. This is a known fail, it has a hotfix on the site but it didn't work for me.
I needed to downgrade back to win 7 which then strips all drivers from your mother board and graphics card (network connection, sound, graphics etc).
Overall buggy beyond belief, Vista all over again, wait till they fix it and distance themselves from the name 8 and re-labal it win 9 like they did with Vista/7
