This review is from: COOLMAX CTI-500B 500W ATX 12V v2.2 and Compatible with Core i3/i5/i7 Power Supply
Pros:
I bought this to handle a video card upgrade. The Radeon Sapphire 7850 requires a minimum of 500 watts. It's only pluses are that it installed easily and was fairly cheap. But it is true that you get what you pay for.
Cons:
It started emitting an electrical burning smell, and then the next day it popped, filled the room with smoke and died. Thankfully it did not seem to fry anything else in my system. I replaced it with a more expensive Seasonic 620W PSU ($89) which has performed flawlessly since I installed it a few weeks ago. I highly recommend going with more wattage than what a single component requires, and do not waste your time with this one.
