This review is from: Sony Xperia Z Ultra LTE C6806 16 GB, 2 GB RAM Purple Unlocked Cell Phone 6.4"
Beautiful crafted device, was worried about the purple color but it ended up looking super nice. People are always staring at it and asking questions. It's massive, but not really all that intrusive. Sony made this so thin, holding it actually feels better than my previous smaller Samsung Note 2. I was able to sell my tablet and make this my all in one device. I have not even used my laptop since. The screen is the best part. Some large phones have horrible resolution. It's a big screen, yet the screen space is just blown up and defeats the purpose of a bigger device. This one is perfect, and Movies, games, and other media just look outstanding. The Reality engine surely makes this device rise over the rest.
Ok nice as this device is there are some iffy draw backs that have come to my attention over the weeks. Despite what the specs say, the battery just doesn't hold up what so ever. Expected from this device, but still a shame to know thats still an issue. The casing despite looking amazing is actually pretty cheap. Ive already nicked 2 corners, and the pieces that plug over the ports is super cheap and got bent rendering it's water proofing capabilities useless. Another note is the charge port, it's pretty weak, and Sony recommends using the magnetic wireless charger. Though of course that costs extra.
The 5" version of the Z1 is the device to have, however I really wanted to have the bigger screen. They made some cutbacks on the Ultra, but the price wasn't horrible so meh. I say go for it!
