Great card for the cost 06/28/2014
This review is from: XFX Double D Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card R9-270X-CDFC
Pros:
This card performs well and keeps cool. Overclocking is very easy with AMD overdrive. I am running beta drivers without any issues.
As a full time mechanical/electrical engineer with a background in microelectronics, I can say this card was fabricated with great attention to detail and quality.
Runs most modern games on high/ultra. Battlefield 4 runs well on ultra with AA off. Breezes through games that use the source engine. Scored quite relatively high in benchmarks.
Cons:
None - this is a good time to pick up this card with a $199 price tag. Mine was $220.
Overall Review:
**Check your wattage on your power supply. I had a 650 watt, but had to upgrade to an 850 watt to fully utilize this card. The guy who left a review about a burnt electronic smell.. it might be your psu.
Manufacturer Response:
Thank you for the great review Toast, We appreciate your kind words.
