Works Great w/ Linux & Windows 08/06/2014
This review is from: Intel EXPI9301CTBLK Network Adapter 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45
Works Great w/ Linux & Windows 7. Purchased here at Newegg based on a LOT of positive reviews as to how they work with both Windows and linux. I'll be using these from now on instead of RealTek chips. Needed these to get around driver issues with RealTek 8111 network chips on a pair of ASUS Sabertooth motherboards. In future, when shopping for motherboards, I'll be looking for ones that use INTEL gigabit network chips.
Used for dual-boot systems running both Windows 7 Home and Pro and openSUSE linux 12.3 32-bit and 64-bit. Linux kernel 3.6.xxx - no drivers needed for linux. Built into kernel. These were the cards I used to get around the RealTek 8111 problems in ASUS Sabertooth motherboards. RealTek chips were a pain. Intel cards are pain-free. Better performance than using PCI RealTek 8169 cards, but more costly. Well worth the cost. I'm done with RealTek networking.
