Acer 28" 60 Hz TN UHD LED Backlight Monitor 2 ms 3840 x 2160 (4K) DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort B286HK ymjdpprz UM.PB6AA.003

Pros:

Wanted to review this fine monitor and put out some facts to help counter the unrealistic expectations of some others.

This monitor, apparently if you get a good one is quite nice with a good stand and good configuration options.

I bought a Nvidia 750gt with DP to be able to run 4K @ 60Hz and it simply works and works well. No ghosting or lag to speak of (this is subjective, but I can see flicker in florescent lights and rainbows on DLP projectors).

The menu options are as good as any other monitor I've owned except for my Asus photo editing centric monitor. You can set all required picture elements including full RGB control, etc.

Stand is quite good given the price point of the monitor. Sure the monitor can wobble if you plug in a usb or hit the power button, but who cares; it swivels and turns and otherwise provides a capable and stable platform for the monitor.

Overall picture quality is what you'd expect from a TN panel - but a little better than your typical TN monitor. Mounted at eye level middle the screen I notice no color fade or brightness fluctuations in normal usage.

Games are fluid on the 750gt and it has adequate contrast for dark scenes and games.

Cons:

A couple of cons I've come across are that when turning off the screen it's like the monitor becomes "unplugged" and whatever windows or screen arrangements you had up get re-arranged and goofed up.

Related to this, it takes some time to become usable from sleep or power off.

Overall Review:

If you run this or any monitor @ 30Hz you will likely see some lag. Most folks can't detect any frame rate issues below 24Hz, but we all aren't the same.

Lastly, this monitor delivered exactly what I expected for one of the best priced 60Hz 4K monitors out there; it's a great value.
