Good Value, No VGA Bracket For Low Profile 02/06/2015
This review is from: PowerColor Go! Green Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 CrossFireX Support Low Profile Video Card (UEFI Ready) AX5450 1GBK3-SHEV4
Pros:
Passive Cooling (quiet); Plays Blu-Ray rips without a flinch with a Core 2 Duo machine; HDMI/DVI/VGA outputs; perfect for extending life of an old machine
Cons:
Passive Cooling (runs very warm); no way to mount VGA connector when using low profile setup.
Overall Review:
I wanted to get a cheap card for an old HP D5800 being converted to a media player for a friend. Who is the PowerColor mastermind that didn't consider providing a VGA slot mount when converting to low profile? What? It may have cost an extra $.50? Epic fail.Since this is a DVI-D output, a vga converter is out of the question. Oh well... need to rig something to support the vga input plug, something the MANUFACTURER should have done at minimal cost. Now on to see if I get my rebate......
