Corsair 256GB Voyager Slider X2 USB 3.0 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 200MB/s (CMFSL3X2-256GB)
  • Convenient, compact size
  • Capless design
  • Blue activity LED
  • Support for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux with no driver or software installation necessary
  • USB Standard-A connector works with both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports

Pros:

- Quality feel
- 5 year warranty
- Key-chain hole is accessible and solid
- Nice activity light
- Fast speeds

Cons:

- USB cover does not protect against dirt or lint entering the connector
- A bit large; might cause issues with surrounding USBs

Overall Review:

The quality of this USB drive is from the moment it hits your hand. The main body is a smooth plastic, while the sliding cover is a rubberized, but still solid, plastic. There are no sharp edges on the drive, and opening or closing the cover yields a satisfying snap. Couple this with a key-chain hole that is solid, yet still relatively easy to get a key-ring on, and an activity light that is easy to notice yet not blindingly bright, and you have a winner of a USB stick. But then add on top of that a Corsair 5 year warranty, fast speeds, and capacities in nearly any size you might want, and you one of the best flash drives I have come across.

However, as good as it is, it is not without faults. Sliding covers are convenient and rather difficult to lose, but they do not provide any protection from things entering the connector. The other problem with the drive is its size. While the larger size is much nicer to hold, it might cause issues with devices in surrounding USB ports.

In terms of speed, the drive I got averaged about 205 MB/s read and 130 MB/s write in CrystalDiskMark 3.0.4, and about 115 MB/s putting a large video on it.

Overall, this is a very good USB drive. The speeds are good, the physical aspects are good, all of it backed by a great warranty. This drive should definitely be on your list if you are looking for a new flash drive.
