CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only (CW-9060006-WW)
  • 1700 RPM +/- 10% 57 CFM
  • Fan Dim. 120.00 x 120.00 x 25.00mm
  • Fan Noise 30.32 dBA

Pros:

Keeps your cpu cool and runs quiet as it is supposed to. Not much else to say.

Cons:

Instructions are pretty weak. Going to their web site doesn't help because they have a video up of a 7 year old model which is probably about how old the printed instructions are. Mine came with round piece with clips I am still trying to figure out what the heck it's for because there is no mention of it on the instructions or on the web site.

So this edit is after further looking. Didn't even realize this is the H55 minus the AMD mounting hardware. Found a video for that and questions answered. Product still should have come with proper instruction and Corsair should update their website. Just need to google H55 installation instructions and all is good.

Overall Review:

It DOES fit LGA1150. You just use the LGA1156 designated mounting holes on the bracket. This may be even more confusing for people who don't actually look at the print on the bracket. They're not uniform. One hole is outside bottom, one is inside top, one is outside top and one is inside bottom. Be patient and do a little homework. It fits!
There is just something about a leaking water cooler in the back of my head. A fear that one day it will start to leak and ruin hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of components. That possible failure along with the fact that the fan could fail and the pump could fail adds to my mental debate of whether or not it's really worth it. IF a big old heat sink like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO has a fan fail, it's still going to cool the cpu enough to probably avoid damage due to the distribution of heat and other fans in the system.
Also, with this in mind, it doesn't actually cool any better than my CM Hyper 212 EVO. In fact, I can get a couple of degrees cooler with the EVO when under load. Temps seem about the same when idle or light use.
I'm giving this 4 eggs just because it doesn't really cool any better than a quality HSF and because of the above mentioned inherent risks of water cooling as well as the pathetic instructions.
