5 out of 5 eggs Excellent card by an excellent company at an excellent price 08/24/2016

This review is from: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 8GB WINDFORCE OC, GV-N1070WF2OC-8GD R2

Pros:

nVidia really knocked it out of the park with the 10xx series cards, and Gigabyte did a great job presenting a 1070 with quiet fans, low temps, and high clockspeeds.

This card handles everything I've thrown on it, including the new World of Warcraft: Legion expansion at the highest possible graphics settings on a 2560x1440 monitor, and that's with a second 2560x1440 monitor running web browsers and other apps attached as well.

Cons:

Under load it's a little bit louder than the Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce I was replacing, but the fan speed curves could easily be tweaked to mitigate this.

Overall Review:

For most high-end gaming right now I think a single 1070 is going to offer the best performance for the price, very happy with the 1070, with Gigabyte, and of course with Newegg.
