This review is from: Intel SSD 600p Series (512GB, M.2 2280 80mm NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4, 3D1, TLC) Reseller Single Pack
Pros:
+It is fast, really fast, especially read speeds
+Very affordable
+Rated speeds are consistent with what I got in benchmarking apps
+Takes virtually 0 space inside your case and connects and gets its power via the M.2 port (fewer sata/power cables inside the case)
+Plenty of space for an OS drive plus a few games
Cons:
-The Intel Data Migration Software didn't recognize the drive at the beginning (used the "workaround" provided with the software to get it to recognize the SSD)
-After multiple failed attempts to clone my current SATA SSD to this drive using the Migration Software, I found out the operation is currently unsupported by the software.
-Write speeds aren't much different than your run of the mill SATA SSD but I knew that before purchase so not really a con
Overall Review:
-Since the Migration Software was useless in my case, I managed to clone my SATA SSD using a program called AOMEI Backupper which has a free version with the drive cloning feature locked out (You can unlock it by tweeting an "Ad" for the software). Cloning went smoothly and saved me a lot of headache from using the Intel Migration Software .
