Good but not great 09/02/2006
This review is from: Microsoft Windows XP Professional X64 Edition with SP2B 1 Pack
It's windows 64 bit edition.
I bought it for my AMD X2 4600+ / 2gb ram Socket AM2 system. I did my research, and there are drivers available in x64 mode for all of my hardware which i've installed.
The issue is that the computer randomly hangs (freezes up). This usually occurs anwhere between a few minutes and hours after it boots.
Ubuntu linux on the other hand runs for hours without a freeze.
I would recommend that you get the normal Windows XP Pro instead of this. The extra speed of x64 is nice, but the stability is a huge issue.
The other issue I had was that it didn't immediately recogonize the on board lan in my motherboard. Ubuntu did though... go figure.
TO summarize, it works, but its not stable. If you want stability, try the normal windows xp pro, or some variant of linux.
