This review is from: Neverwinter Nights 2 DVD PC Game
Graphics: The graphics are great if you have the system to handle the load.
Sound: Music is just blah, but voice acting in the campaign is pretty good.
Story: Fun characters, easy to follow.
Character Creation: A big plus for this game is the amount of freedom you have to create a custom character. Lots of classes and such from the DnD system.
This game will tax you rig like no ones business. I have a pretty good setup and I find that my fps goes WAY down during battles. And its not just me either, people with killer rigs are having problems too. You should take note that its the graphics engine they use which is a resource hog.
Not made by Bioware (who made the orignial titles as well as expansions). Obsidian killed this game because they released ith with too many problems and without listening to the community feedback in beta.
Story: LINEAR! One of the best things about NWN and BG and all the other adventure rpg games was the freedom in the main story line. You don't get that at all here.
Toolset: The tools that came with the game for creating custom modules are far worse than the orginal NWN. One of the most promising aspects about NWN was the ability for fans to create their own adventures and then share them. The current system really doesn't allow for that type of interaction
I could keep going about everything they did wrong with such a great game title, but I'm not going to bother. After playing this game and trying to get to like it, the good points just don't make up for the lack of solid gameplay.
Don't buy this game.
