5 out of 5 eggs BUT IT! 11/22/2006

This review is from: COOLER MASTER RL-HUC-E8U1 Liquid Cooling System

Pros:

I installed this on my AMD2500+ which was running at 125F at idle! 135F+ at load. Im now running 91F at idle and 98-103F at load when playing BF2. Even though this isnt some 300 setup, it works great and comes with SO much stuff in the box to set it up. While the pump might be slow compaired to the high end pumps, I found it moves the water fast enough for me. Verry happy with it and I encourage anyone to buy it.

Cons:

You need some form of double stick tape to hold the thermal probe next to the CPU die.

I didnt care for the PCI card thing. Even though it doesnt actually use a PCI slot electricly, its still an eye sore and air flow bother. It would of been nicer if they integrated that into the unit.
Nothing to stop anyone from buying it though.

The fan settings could use some extra options like, hit this temp, speed it up kind of thing.

Cant set the beep volume.

Front fan should be LED, but its easy to swap out.

The rear has a hole for a fan, but no fan. Add a fan for better cooling on a low setting.

It plugs into the wall AND you have to use a 4pin molex power source too??? Why? I dont know.

Other Thoughts:

All in all, well worth the xx bucks I paid for it. I would HIGHLY suggest this to anyone looking into a watercooling system.
