- USB & eSATA
Not as bad as some eople say it is 12/24/2006
This review is from: CINTRE CI-355SU2 Aluminum 3.5" SATA USB & eSATA External Enclosure
1. Has a SATA connection and supports SATAII. 2. Has a fan and fan switch. 3. Has a power light and on/off switch. 4. Supports USB2.0. Conclusion, basically, it works.
In order of importance but still minor things - 1. No read/write LED for SATA usage, the red LED for read/write works only during USB usage (Cintre confirmed this). 2. Fan sw not attached inside on one side but no sweat, never changing fan setting from ON anyway. 3. No rubber mounts so you hear HDD noise through table so just mounted on a rubber pad.
Using it with a Qnap TS-101 as a USB QRAID backup. The other guy needs to find the other HDD screw on the side - there are TWO screws to hold the HDD, not one. There is only one tiny screw to hold each end cap but it works fine. Gave it a 4 out of 5 because the read/write LED should work for SATA as well as USB.
