Rating + 5 Great product, arrived on time

I never had to or tried to contact the seller as the product I received was exactly what they said altho for a refurb it still had a new smell to it and not even a trace of a scratch or blemish and the processor was slightly better clocking 2.7 instead of 2.6. I believe I may have gotten a new product :)

Rating + 5 Great addition to the options at NewEgg

My purchase was exactly as described by Think Green PC. The refurb was in better condition than I expected actually. Shipping was fast and the packaging was perfect. Easy to get my computer out of the box, and it had enough protection in there to make it through if it needed to travel to the moon and back. This will be the first place I look for future refurb purchases.

Rating + 1 Your Entire Refurbished Program is a DISASTER!! 5 LAPTOPS FROM 5 DIFFERENT RE-SELLERS, 5 FAILURES.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT DONNA IN CUSTOMER SERVICE GETS THIS EMAIL.

We have recently ordered FIVE refurbished laptops from FIVE different re-sellers and ALL have been faulty.

1. A windows 7 machine. As soon as it was turned on the wi-fi performed a Windows 10 update and the machine was not compatible. Windows 10 hammered the system so bad it could not be recovered. IF YOU SHIP A WINDOWS 7 MACHINE HAVE A NOTICE THAT TELLS THEM TO NOT TURN ON THE MACHINE WITHOUT SHUTTING OFF WI-FI AND INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO STOP THE WINDOWS 10 UPDATE.

2. Second machine, back light as out, computer useless. HOW CAN A RE-SELLER NOT KNOW THAT A COMPUTER IS FAULTY WHEN THE DISPLAY IS BLANK?

3. Would not boot. Evidently they loaded Windows 10 and did not adequately test it. Computer would not boot so we were unable to even attempt a reinstall of Windows 10. Again, an inoperative computer. JUNK

4. After the first week it and went into "THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH" Knowing about computers we were able to get it into recovery mode, and then reload Windows 10. This took a bunch of time a a bunch of effort. We ended up keeping this computer. . . . . for now since we needed to retain a windows machine.

5 WHILE COMPUTER NUMBER 4 WAS DEAD WE DECIDED THE PROBLEM MUST BE THE RE-SELLERS WERE ATTEMPTING TO SELL COMPUTERS THAT WERE NOT WINDOWS COMPATIBLE, SO WE ORDERED A MACBOOK PRO. When we attempted to load software it said the operating system was NOT up to date, so we had to upgrade. So we attempted an upgrade. It would not work. Working with re-seller on this problem, useless. Luckily Apple tech support would help. They determined that the operating system was corrupted to the point where it would not upgrade. Apple they sent us the existing operating system so it could be reloaded. We loaded it and again attempted the upgrade and it would not work!! After working with the Apple tech for days, they said they have never seen this problem. Something in the machine is corrupted and will not even allow an upgrade. COMPUTER USELESS.

HAVING ORDERED 5 COMPUTERS FROM 5 RE-SELLERS AND HAVING THEM ALL FAULTY AND ALL BUT ONE INOPERATIVE WE DECIDED TO DISCONTINUE DOING BUSINESS WITH NEWEGG FOR ANYTHING REFURBISHED, AND SINCE THE LEADING ON LINE RETAILER IS USUALLY AS COMPETITIVE OR MORE COMPETITIVE THAN NEWEGG WILL MOSTLY LIKELY NEVER ORDER AGAIN.

YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY CHASED AWAY A LOYAL CUSTOMER WHO WAS GIVING REFERRALS TO MANY OTHERS. OUR RECENT EXPERIENCE HAS SHOWN THAT NEWEGG'S VETTING OF THEIR RE-SELLERS IS NON EXISTENT.

WHAT WAS OUR SOLUTION? WE PURCHASED A NEW MACBOOK PRO FROM LOCALLY. THIS WAY WE HAVE APPLE SERVICE TO SUPPORT THE MACHINE. OUR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THE RE-SELLER'S SERVICE IS EITHER NON EXISTENT OR WOEFULLY INADEQUATE.

YOU TELL ME, WOULD YOU EVER ORDER FROM A COMPANY WITH THIS RECORD??

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER PURCHASE A REFURBISHED COMPUTER FROM NEWEGG!!!!!

Rating + 1 Laptop with cat hair

I bought a refurbished laptop from "Think Green PC". This is my problably 20th refurbished laptop. This is by far worst one. It works. But keyboard has stains, coffee spill a cat (?) hair sticking out. Not just one, but a bunch! Returning ASAP!

Literally hadn't been 24 hours since initial set up of the computer and it has a constant humming/scratching noise. Not happy w/ this purchase

We received a "refurbished" laptop. It arrived dead on arrival.
We informed New Egg. and Think Green. New Egg responded. No response from Think Green. We are going to have to do a chargeback.

Return Instruction
    1. Log onto your Newegg.com account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
