Select an eligible product on Newegg.com and fill out the Trade-In submission form on the product page. Enter your device information to receive an instant estimate, then add the item to your cart and complete checkout. You'll receive a prepaid UPS shipping label — send your old device within 14 days. Once Newegg receives and approves it, you'll be credited the trade-in value as a refund to your original payment method.

GPU trade-ins are eligible toward gaming desktops and laptops when a trade-in module appears on the product page. We are not accepting CPU trade-ins for credit toward gaming PCs at this time.

If your device does not pass inspection, it will be returned to you free of charge, subject to certain conditions. You will be notified by email if your item is rejected.

All items undergo a thorough inspection that includes model verification, checks for physical damage, dust/dirt buildup, missing components, rust or corrosion, serial number verification, port and fan functionality, noise level, operating temperature, and benchmark performance. Items that fail any of these checks will be rejected. For desktop memory, eligibility requires DDR4 (16GB or more per stick) or DDR5 (8GB or more per stick), an attached heatsink, desktop-only form factor, multiple sticks, and matching labels on all sticks.

Once your trade-in is approved, credit is issued as a refund to your original payment method. If the associated purchase is later returned, the trade-in value will instead be issued as a Newegg gift card.

Only your out-of-pocket costs will be refunded; the trade-in value will be issued as store credit in the form of a Newegg gift card. For example, if you paid $70 out of pocket and used a $30 trade-in, a return would refund $70 to your payment method plus a $30 gift card.

Your item must appear in the eligible models list on this page. For desktop memory specifically: DDR4 sticks must be 16GB or larger per stick; DDR5 sticks must be 8GB or larger per stick. All memory must have an attached heatsink, be desktop-only, be traded as multiple matching sticks with matching labels, and be in working condition.

All major credit and debit cards are accepted for trade-in orders. We do not currently accept Affirm, PayPal, BitPay, or the Newegg Store Credit Card.

Trade-in values are based on your device's specific model and specifications. Offers may vary over time due to market conditions. Check the trade-in value tables on this page for the current values for your GPU, CPU, or RAM. Your device must be shipped within 14 days of placing your order to receive the quoted value.

The inspection process generally takes 10–15 business days after Newegg receives your device. Once approved, credit is applied to your account within 3–5 additional business days.

After completing your purchase, you'll receive a confirmation email with a prepaid shipping label and drop-off instructions. Pack your device securely with appropriate padding and drop it off at a UPS store or authorized UPS drop-off location within 14 days.

You can cancel a trade-in as long as you have not yet shipped your device. Once the device has been sent, the trade-in can no longer be cancelled.

The program is available to customers with a valid address in the contiguous United States. Hawaii, Alaska, and U.S. territories are not eligible at this time.

There is a limit of one device per trade-in order. If you wish to trade in multiple devices, you will need to place separate orders for each one.

Print the prepaid UPS shipping label included in your confirmation email. Pack your device securely using appropriate padding, then drop it off at a UPS store or eligible UPS drop-off point within 14 days of your order.

No. There are no fees associated with the trade-in program. A free prepaid shipping label is provided for sending your device to Newegg. If your device is rejected, return shipping back to you is also free of charge.

You can reprint your shipping label at any time by going to My Account > Trade-In Orders on Newegg.com and clicking the label print button for your order.

No, we are not accepting gaming laptops or gaming desktops as trade-in items at this time. The program currently accepts individual GPUs, CPUs, and desktop RAM only.

We are currently accepting only the pin-less (LGA/LGA-compatible) CPUs listed on this page. We will consider expanding the list of accepted CPU models in the future.
