Rating + 1 Recieved a DEAD BATTERY with my laptop

Recieved a dead battery with my laptop and didnt notice the issue until I had already purchaced Microsoft Office $150 and AVG Security $70. Now I was told I would have to send in the laptop for a replacement I couldnt simply get a replacment battery. I was given a number for a customer service line that went straight to a voicemail. So now I am out $220 or have to stay plugged in.

Rating + 5 It's No Free Lunch, but a Little Can Still Buy a LOT!

The computer was spotless, appeared brand new, was easy to set-up and get going, was certainly value priced & performance geared. It handled my first software loads like a champ. The seller couldn't have shipped faster. It runs Microsoft Office Suite like it was butter and acts very capable on internet apps. Don't know how it might fair on gaming, but with Intel on-board graphics, my guess is just fair. The 14 inch screen is more adequate for viewing than I expected. I may never get it back from my significant other who has snuggled up with it in bed, cruising the Internet and pretending to work. This is a great value, the seller provided a very well prepared refurb. product and the Intel i7 processor eats anything I've fed it without complaint. 8 GBs of RAM and a larger HD would have been really nice, but those can be add-ons later and as configured, the price stays reasonable and the machine's performance is certainly acceptable to very satisfied. I've spent more on printer ink!

I was charged $50 for expedited delivery that I did not order (there was no hurry, I have five other PCs). Several emails/phone calls later I gave up trying to get my money back. The PC was refurbished, but it looked like new. Functions properly.

Great communication and cooperation after newegg kinda dropped the ball (or egg).
No problem with the seller, but I will give you a heads up about newegg's address policy.
I would assume many people would want to add an additional shipping address for some place they'd like things shipped other than their home (work, parents, cottage, etc).
If you do this, newegg defaults this new address as your primary address that needs to match your credit card billing address (it's a pre-checked box you must un-check during the checkout process, I missed it)
I ended up having the cancel the first order, get refunded, then purchase again got phone calls from my credit card fraud department to prove I was myself and the last 5 purchases on my card were legit, all because of a check box that defaults when you add a new shipping address. So just look out for that.
Laptop's great, great value, insanely fast shipping. I had it less than 24 hours after I ordered it! 5 eggs to seller, 3 eggs to newegg.

This machine is now my favorite laptop. I have five Dell laptop's but this HP puts them to shame it's faster loading very snappy. Same specifications as my dells love this HP

bought refurbished HP 8440p from this seller. Fast shipping and great product - almost brand new and with lots of extra, such as webcam, bigger hard drive ... Very responsive seller and best customer services - shipped out a replacement battery right away. Will do business again!

Purchased a refurbed HP laptop for a great price. Machine was as advertised with only a couple very minor cosmetic items. The battery however would not fully charge. After following a procedure found on-line to remove and update the Windoz 'ACPI' battery drivers, the battery still would not fully charge. Contacted Trademark through Newegg and recieved a replacement battery the next business day! Would recommend highly.
