Pros: If there were any, I'll never know.
Cons: Tried initial setup five times. Each time I clicked "set Up Homegroup, the installation froze and I had to do a hard shutdown and start over. Finally I skipped that step and then tried to join Homegroup from the Control Panel. I got "A Homegroup can not be set up on this computer." (It's a hard wired netbook on which I've used three other computers on that node with no problems.) I went to Dell Support and was told to download and run Dell Detect. I downloaded and tried to install it three times and all I got was the message "Please download and install a more recent version of this software." That's six hours wasted and I will not spend a day on the phone with Dell fixing a new computer.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cheap. Support didn't respond to two phone calls, but got back to an email with instructions to fix a failure to load the OS. It's a working Win 7 computer for $150.
Cons: Surprisingly slow for a 64 bit machine but my grandson won't know the difference until he experiences a different computer, which may be a while.
Other Thoughts: I ordered a second for a backup.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Worked for a while
Cons: Sporadic crashes - avg 3 a week - after about two years.
Other Thoughts: After about 18 mos, started getting power event crashes, first monthly, then up to 3 a week after another year. I had tried different outlet, different circuit, borrowed a UPS - no luck. Replaced with different brand and all fixed. Not a high load computer; Intel I7 but no extra video cards. Mostly Photoshop.READ FULL REVIEW
