does what its supposed to do

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System Builders w/ Tech Guarantee
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System Builders w/ Tech Guarantee

Pros: It runs great. I haven't had a big problem yet (like most mac adds say you will) It looks great. people say the Aero theming can bog down a system, but so far it's been smooth sailing. It also comes with a voucher for a free upgrade to 7 when it comes out, so that's a plus.

Cons: Windows defender just crapped out randomly, I'm searching the interwebs to find a solution, but it's no biggy. I have a pretty good antivirus that does everything that defender does.

Overall Review: It's not recognizing the nTune software. I'm hoping that a re-install will fix that, so its not a con yet.

Great cpu!

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80570E8400
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80570E8400

Pros: It's a very nice processor. I haven't had the need to OC it seeing that its already clocked twice as fast as the cpu in my previous computer (dell inspiron 1505), and faster than my friends quad-core. I recommend this to anyone that doesn't really want to break the bank, but still wants great performance. And who doesn't want that?

Cons: none that I can think of.

comes with cords!

SIGMA SHARK SP-635 635 W ATX12V V2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply
SIGMA SHARK SP-635 635 W ATX12V V2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply

Pros: Um... it powers my computer.

Cons: I have to physically plug it into an outlet.

Overall Review: It came with a ton of cables attached. more so than most of the psu's ive worked with. It's not really a con cause they may come useful down the road, but it doe's cause cooling problems in my Antec 900 when the cables aren't hidden very well.

Great Board.

ZOTAC NF780I-A-E LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
ZOTAC NF780I-A-E LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: It's been a great board so far. Been running it almost non-stop for a few days now and hasn't had a hiccup yet. I have a friend that has the XFX version of this board and apparently his has been perfect as well.

Cons: (not sure if this is standard on all boards) the IEEE connector seems to be in a strange spot. If I decide to upgrade to SLI, it's going to be useless. And seeing that the WiFi kit that comes with the board uses the IEEE connector, that may become useless too.

Overall Review: It hasn't killed itself yet so I guess its a good board.

I can't believe I'm reviewing a gift...
