Pros: 1TB, Kind of cheap. Not a horrid hard drive when it worked. Honestly it would have been nice it if lasted long
Cons: Died in less than a year. RMAing it now. Symptoms: Slow read/write speeds even under no stress. Drive simply wouldn't spin up.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The card does what it should. It's a decent card that runs sc2 on high settings without an issue. Generally giving 30-100 FPS depending on how many units are on the screen.
CSGO on max gets about 100-200 FPS depending on the map and etc.
NS2 gets 30-70 on high(almost maxed all but vsync and anti-aliasing.) depending on the map and how many things are happening.
Cons: While it does get some acceptable frames it does it under such heat that it's ridiculous. Everything else in my rig stays well under the 50C mark but this card burns up. Generally I get any where from 70-90C under average load with the above games. While components near the video card stay cool. The heatsink on this simply isn't enough to handle it. (look someplace else)
Other Thoughts: I may have gotten a faulty card, I will look into it with HIS.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: What the specs say is what you get, great graphics card and etc. What the specs don't say is some of the great (non-bloatware) software you get. Lot of the toshiba drivers and utilities are actually useful like the eco power utility shows me the power usage of the laptop or the function button utilities which allow me to disable the function buttons or the fact that they beep by default without going into the bios, right now i have the function buttons on and the beep off, after about 48-60 hours of gaming time on the laptop I have to say the function buttons don't get in my way and the keyboard is actually pretty good. I was afraid it wouldn't be that great but its really smooth and decently non-cheap feeling to my hands which have an 8 inch width. (tip of pinky to tip of thumb) which is a large hand, this keyboard is a bit small for them but I dont find myself tripping up at all.
Cons: (non directly with laptop) I have a targus XL backpack which isn't as padded as I would like it to be. I thought I would mention this for all the lookers of this laptop that you might need small piece of packing foam or something just to make sure this thing is really secured in place. I feel like I am babying it but for 1.1k worth of computer it is the best.
Other Thoughts: After looking at gateways, levonos, dells, alienwares and even more I am happy to have bought this. I would suggest to anyone to buy this laptop. Its a great laptop and if it doesn't have what you need you should stay with the toshiba qosmio series if you want durability and performance for the best price. I had an nv7901u gateway before this which just felt cheap and even with newegg getting the product page specs wrong (increasing the quality of the laptop) i felt like i got a bad deal. I returned that laptop, before that laptop i had a toshiba satellite which held up for years, I would suggest toshiba from personal experience or levono from word of mouth. but this laptop is the best I have ever owned and I can tell it will last for a long time.READ FULL REVIEW
