I am very happy with its performance.

Cons: See other

Pros: Plug and Play like greased lightning. Win7

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: They make a virtually identical reader that is 2.0. Go with this one since it is backwards compatible. Eventually you will have a USB 3.0 port, if you don't already.

Matsunichi 1TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model DM256-BK-1TB Black

Pros: Seemingly well built. Quiet. No problems so far. Decent price for 1TB. USB powered uses only one USB port.

Cons: USB 3.0 cord is short. Only about 8 inches.
But, maybe this will keep you from snagging the cord while you're using it?

Other Thoughts: I use this as a backup drive. I use FreeFileSync to make quick incremental 1 to 1 backups.
