Its a fan!
Pros: Huge. moves air, and has a very large heatsink to go with it.
Cons: No Thermal compound, no instructions, and no CPU fan control, which honestly surprised me. Still not worth taking off an egg.
Overall Review: No compound- So go to best buy and get some. it was $25, what do you expect? no instructions- if you are putting this on your computer, you probably already know what you are doing so it shouldnt be a problem. no cpu fan control- Odd since it is a Cpu fan.
High expectations for the next one.
Pros: None so far. In the RMA process, will update this review once the new one comes in.
Cons: DOA. I'm a little upset as this seems to be new on the market, and I've bought HIS before with no issues. But these sort of things happen, so I have high hopes for the next one that comes in.
Overall Review: Plugged in, no display whatsoever. The fan on it was running, and all the other systems seemed to be running fine, just no picture on any of the ports. Pulled it out and tried it on another system I have. Same results. If it's to the point where it doesn't even display the POST, then it clearly isn't a driver issue. As I said before, I'm not mad, just a little disappointed that quality testing is so poor. It seems like I have to RMA 1/4th of the items I buy anymore.
good ram for sure!
Pros: Slick looking, 8gb. Mobo recognized it at 1600, without overclocking. Success!
Cons: had a little trouble fitting alongside my CPU fan. This is more of a Mobo con though, so i wouldnt worry about it.
Overall Review: Dont let these bad reviews scare you. i thought that i was going to have trouble, but it turned out great! Also, they dont look exactly like they do in the picture, they have a more brushed metal look, as opposed to what looks like spray paint. Its a good thing.
Good deal
Pros: Sata 2's and USB 3.0s.
Cons: Doesnt label the 3.0's on the shield. its not a big deal for me, but if this is a build for someone else, they would never know. Was a little tight getting my ram in alongside my CPU fan. Granted, i upgraded to a bigger one, but it was still a little tight. Heat worries me on this.
Overall Review: 6 usb's. and room for more!
Not bad
Pros: Looks slick. nice green color. massive side fan.
Cons: The top and back fans are black, which leaves you with only a green fan in the front and side. I expected it to be a little brighter. So, i just bought a couple Apevia led fans, and installed those. There is not alot of room inbetween the top fans and the motherboard, and you cant really screw back in the fans easily, so it makes general assembly a pain. I have smaller fingers, so i managed to work around it.
Overall Review: this case along with the motherboard i got gives me a total of 10 Usb 2.0s. (2 are also 3.0s) I Think that is a little overkill, but is nice when you dont have to plug anything in the back.
They are green!
Pros: They have the same color Green as the Apevia case i got, so there is that.
Cons: Doesnt seem to move a whole lot of air for me.
Overall Review: Really hard to screw in well. you have to hold it from the other side quite hard.
