This review is from: TRIPP LITE N001-006-BK 6 ft. Cat 5/5E Black 350MHz Snagless Molded Patch Cable
Pros: It works. Cheap for its quality. 6 feet. Gigabit. I've had a plethora of shoddy, ratty cables (like the one this replaced), and this one seems to be a lot tougher. Almost 2 months and it still looks like new.
Cons: Only cat5. Could have paid less for the same length, but I always recommend quality first. I would recommend something cheaper, if you only plan on plugging it in and leaving it forever. You could buy 4 cheap-o cat6's for about the same price...
Other Thoughts: I bought this for my in-laws, who compulsively swap the cable between the computer and PS3, practically destroying the old cable (broken clips, knots, tangles, frays, you name it). Wireless router to amend the situation entirely soon.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Purchased this with this monitor, and the setup looks SLICK. I would have used the monitor's DVI connection, but this PC only has VGA. Still looks amazing streaming HD content from YouTube, which will never be an issue with gigabit connection. Nice that a budget pre-manufactured PC has W7 home premium on it. Media Center is quick and smooth. Didn't get to try video games on it, but W.E.I. rating wasn't half bad. Bundled peripherals are aesthetically and ergonomically pleasurable. USB's out the wazoo (4 ports labeled "front" are actually on "top"). Plenty of room for expansion should the day ever come. Sweet, roomy half terabyte hard drive, and finally, how can you go wrong with a DVD burner?
Cons: I want to choke the numb nuts at Acer who decided to put blue LED's in the tower (and said monitor), and green LED's in the bundled (and otherwise matching) keyboard. Blue all around would have been fine by me. Sorry, I digress due to OCD. The wired mouse and keyboard feel a bit, for lack of a better word "dinky", but not so much as other value PC's I've used. Bloatware is increasingly ridiculous, but this is typical. Also, it will suck, should I ever install a video card, that I will most likely need to upgrade the PSU.
Other Thoughts: Since you're reading my review, you are interested in this tower. I think you should buy it. For its price, it exceeded my expectations.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Kingston DataTraveler G3 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive (White & Grey) Model DTIG3/4GBZ
Pros: 4 Gigs under ten bucks??? SOLD. Even sweeter, I got mine on sale, and can now stick out my tongue while I type this.
Cons: Had some read/write issues using the frontal USB 1.0 ports on my tower, so i have to get off my kiester to plug it in the back where the USB 2.0's are. Kind of anticipated that upon purchase.
Other Thoughts: Tricky cap is NOT an issue, as I still have it. Eventually you figure out that a little squeeze on the sides while you pull it makes a world of difference. This is good in my opinion, although I am pretty good with that old aspirin bottle...READ FULL REVIEW
