Nippon Labs Premium 0.5M (1.64 ft.) SATA Cable with 2 Right Angle Connectors for SATA I and SATA II Hard Drive 1.64ft Model SATA-0.5RR 1.64 feet

Pros: it works

Cons: none so far

Overall Review: I bought these without reading the reviews because they were cheap. Then I read the reviews and saw they were not small, and the heads were 'backwards' and thought I'd ended up making a mistake. It ended up being perfect, though, as I had more than enough room between my blu ray drive and cpu cooler for the head to fit, and needed the cable to route 'up' to clear memory modules.

Nice small laptop

Pros: size. nice build quality. screen quality. 3g modem built in.

Cons: wifi card lacks 5ghz capability. lots of bloatware. smaller battery than the 'normal' 1830 timeline machines.

Overall Review: I wanted a small laptop with decent performance, for not a lot of money. This seemed to fit the bill, so I ordered from newegg, and had the typical great delivery experience. The machine is quite nice. Form factor and weight is great. It's not a Macbook Air - but not far from it. Touchpad takes a bit to get used to since there's no delineation between it and the palm rest - but it works fine once you get used to it. Screen quality is quite good - very bright and decent contrast. Keyboard is fine. The machine is configured with a single 2gb memory stick, so it was easy to bring it up to 4gb. Default Windows install has a ton of bloatware. I ended up doing a install from scratch to get rid of it. The wifi card only supports 144 mb/sec 2.4ghz N. However, the HDD, Wifi, 3g and memory are all easily accessible for upgrading. All in all, quite pleased - especially for the price of a netbook. The brown color is quite attractive, too...

Works fine

Pros: it works. it's cheap. lots of ports.

Cons: driver install process was a bit troublesome

Overall Review: picked this for an HTPC build with a i3 and it works well. Install was easy. Lots of ports for USB connections and the HDMI works perfectly. I did have issues getting the driver install disc to work properly, and my startup time is still longer than expected (win7 x64), so I think I've still got some kind of conflict, though everything shows fine in device manager. The computer runs fine, so I'm not too stressed about it though I may try to reinstall windows and try it again.

Great processor

Intel Core i3-530 - Core i3 Clarkdale Dual-Core 2.93 GHz LGA 1156 73W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80616I3530

Pros: cool, built-in graphics, plenty of power for intended use

Cons: cooler a bit noisy

Overall Review: purchased this for an htpc build. I wanted something cheap and strong enough to support blu-ray, but without the compromises you have to make with atom/ion. decided on the core i3 after reading lots of reviews and I'm very happy I did. The build was easy. The processor runs cool. The system has zero issue with HD playback and can transcode DVDs very quickly. Only complaint is the stock cooler is a bit noisy - not loud per se, but kind of a 'knocking' or 'buzzing' sound that more noticeable as it changes frequency in tune with the load on the processor. Slowing the fan down with motherboard options helps somewhat, but it's still the loudest thing in my case.

Works fine

Pros: It works, it's cheap

Cons: none so far

Overall Review: I was building up an HTPC around a Core i3 processor. I needed memory that worked - no need for overclocking or anything extreme. I purchased this as it was the cheapest 4gb kit I could find on Newegg, and the brand (though not this exact part number) was certified to work on my chosen mb (gigabyte ga-h55m-s2h). I plugged it in and it booted just fine. It reports the memory speed @ 1333mhz. No bios settings or anything was required. The system has been stable with no issues.

I like it!

Pros: Looks good. Compact. Relatively quiet.

Cons: none so far

Overall Review: Purchased this to build up an HTPC. Using a Core i3 Processor and Gigabyte motherboard, this little case works fine. I have a blu-ray drive and have no issues with the heat sink interfering with the power or data connections. The case fan and power supply are quiet - with the loudest thing in the case being the stock Intel CPU cooler fan. The case looks nice, was easy to build using the feedback on this site (remove the power supply, remove the front panel, put the DVD drive in last, etc). I'm quite please with it.
