Good cooling, decent price.
Pros: Cools the room well. Easy to install and operate.
Cons: Water needs refilled often.
Overall Review: The remote provided isn't the same one pictures here, but it works fine.
A Creative card with stable Windows drivers
Pros: It's a nice quality card, much better than onboard, and makes for a good price/performance option. Drivers are easy to use on Windows.
Cons: No Linux support, and this is a big con. It seems Creative won't even release enough information for Linux programmers out there to write even some kind of basic driver of their own.
Generally meets expectations, write speed is a lower than expected
Pros: - Quiet - Low Power - Low profile - USB 3.0
Cons: - Write speed connected to a USB 3.0 port on Linux, using EXT4, barely peaks over 30MB/s Even if the drive inside is only 5400rpm, I should be seeing write speeds closer to 48Mb/s
Overall Review: While the low write speed is OK for my implementation, I could see this being a problem for some. Otherwise, my expectations are met.
Unpredictable, unreliable
Pros: It's small
Cons: Drives come and go erratically and won't stay spinned up. I returned it. Tried with multiple drives.
Great card for the price
Pros: This graphics card offers terrific performance for the price. Guild Wars 2, Skyrim, CS:GO, X3:AP, DA:O, Two Worlds II, Saints Row 3, etc. all perform terrifically at max or near-max settings.
Cons: However, there are two minor cons with this card: 1. The OC Guru software can cause stability problems with some games. I never overclocked the card, but my GW2 kept crashing. Going through troubleshooting with their support team, killing the OC Guru process always resulted in the game no longer crashing. 2. For boot-up/POST/etc., it only displays on the VGA port - it won't display on the DVI. I have no idea why.
Uplay is defective, so this doesn't work
Pros: In the end, I just might be able to play the game.
Cons: So I tried all of the various methods mentioned here to get the store to work. I ended up calling the Ubisoft support number and a Ubisoft game technical support technician (not a store rep) helped me get an account made, buy the game, and apply the code. I never received a confirmation email with Activation code / download link. I checked my Ubishop/Uplay Order History, and the purchase shows up there - but with no download link or activation code. I contacted support over 2 days ago, no response. My ticket is still open in the Ubishop help system.
