Lenovo G550(29583RU) NoteBook Intel Pentium dual-core T4400 (2.20GHz) 4GB Memory 250GB HDD Intel GMA 4500M 15.6
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: First of all, the value for the price is absolutely extraordinary, I have not been able to find a laptop under $500 that I would rather have than this one. The G550 is fast, lightweight, and the built in number pad is a great addition to an already solid and responsive keyboard. When running a 64bit OS it runs quickly and reliably, however there are some problems, see Cons.

Cons: The biggest problem that this laptop has is the touch pad. It is located partially under the left hand when typing, so the mouse can jump around the screen unexpectedly. When you try to use it, its responsiveness ranges from non-existent, to mediocre, and using a mouse will save you a lot of head aches.

Other Thoughts: Overall the Pros vastly outweigh the Cons, however this laptop is not quite as user friendly as it could have been. The only things that could really have been improved upon are the touch pad and the OS. The OS is an easy fix, the touch pad, not so much.

RAZER Diamondback 3G Earth Green 7 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB 3G infrared 1800 dpi Gaming Mouse
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Smooth tracking, great feel, low friction feet, clicking center wheel, comfrortable grip.

Cons: The Razer symbol does not glow, makes sense though as your hand covers that almost all the time.

Other Thoughts: I usually do a lot of research before I buy anything and this was no exception. I have used a few gaming mice before, both from Logitech, (the MX518 and the G5.) Neither came close to the comfort and smoothness of this mouse. I absolutely love this. However, a warning, to fully appreciate this mouse you need a good optical or laser mouse pad. Anything else will just slow this mouse down.

ASUS G Series G1Sn-B1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.50GHz) 4GB Memory 320GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS 15.4
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Well, Everything really. Beautiful screen, smooth and crisp keyboard, nice webcam, quick load times, fast wi-fi connection, and a nice pair of processors. The chassis feels solid with no wobble between the screen and frame. Blue Ray/DVD reader is fast as well. Battery charges fast. Overall, great computer.

Cons: It attracts hair and fingerprints like crazy. It seems that the track pad and right/left click buttons are a little sub par compared to the rest of the keyboard, however I have barely used it. Battery life at max settings is very short, however, that is at max settings, on less, battery life is much greater.

Other Thoughts: Well, I love it.
