This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P AM3+/AM3 AMD 970 6 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Easy installation and set-up. I only had to install the chipset driver from the installation CD, Win 7 had the rest. My system has three HDs and two optical drives; this mobo has plenty of Sata ports with one left over.
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series PC3 12800
I built this for my son who is a heavy gamer -- the above set-up rocks!
Cons: I'm not a big fan of fed ex shipping - almost took one egg away.
Other Thoughts: I just have to add this -- I read a lot of reviews on Newegg about DOA motherboards; I have bought several mobos in my time and never had a DOA. In fact, my mobo is six years old (bought from newegg) and my son's was six years old as well (bought from newegg). Both boards are still in great shape. What I have found is that if the memory modules are not supported by the mobo then the board may seem to be dead. Just sayin'.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Decent price. good quality.
Other Thoughts: Bought two of these cards -- installed one in an AMD hex machine, Windows 8 and the other in an Intel X4 machine, Windows 7. They work flawlessly and run cool. I have recommended this card to others. I am not a heavy gamer -- Minecraft, TF2, Roblox -- this works great for them.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Pros: It's Windows 7. Love W7 -- even better than XP. I got this for $25.00 off the regular price.
Cons: It took a week to get here. They shipped it from a location that is 100 miles from my house. It went 400 miles North East, then 200 miles West so it could finally travel almost 400 miles South to get to me. I hate when they ship by DHL
Other Thoughts: $75 for Win 7 64 bit -- worth the wait.
