Pros: This laptop is great in terms of bang for your buck. The Touch experience is great and that is the way Windows 8 should be experienced.
-Nice touch screen
-Windows 8 works great
-nice, thin, lightweight form factor
Cons: -mouse touchpad tries to do too many things with gestures, i.e. pinch to zoom, scrolling, swipe in from the sides - I would argue that this leads to confusion since this is a touch screen device. Its easy to turn these "extra" commands off by going into the synaptics app and disabling them.
-screen does have a little glare
Other Thoughts: For a touch enabled ultra book, with a 3rd gen core i3 processor, this is a great value.
Windows 8 runs great on it and its a pleasure to use.
Pros: Very thin and light
Windows RT touch UI works great
Growing number of apps in the Store
Great on screen keyboard
Comes with Office pre-installed
Cons: Keyboard dock comes in the mail and hasn't arrived yet
Separate process for getting the keyboard dock
Other Thoughts: I have the Surface RT and this device. This device is thinner and lighter and I usually like to reach for this device (although the Surface has a bigger and slightly clearer screen). Can't go wrong with either choice. Love the new Windows 8 UI.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS 2512B001 Blue 8.0 MP 3X Optical Zoom Digital Camera
Pros: The Canon SD line of compact cameras always take good pictures. The picture quality seems to always be better than equivalent competitors in the point and shoot class. The video quality is pretty good for a camera this size. This model has a view finder and a LCD display so if you are running low on batteries you can turn off the display and use the view finder to take pics.
Cons: I had the SD 600 model for about 1.5 years, and this model is much slower at actually taking the shot. From the time you press the picture button it takes almost 1 second to actually capture the picture. That makes it difficult to get the shot you want especially with a fast moving target. I have a young daughter who is always on the go and have missed a few shots due to the camera taking a while to complete the shot. This may be due to the new image stabilization features that this model has. The black plastic material that wraps around the sides of the camera feels a little cheap - it would have been nice for it to be aluminum like the rest of the casing.READ FULL REVIEW
