This review is from: ASUS A55M-E FM2 AMD A55 (Hudson D2) Micro ATX AMD Motherboard With UEFI BIOS
Pros: We purchased several of these for PC builds. They work great.
Other Thoughts: My question is in response to the previous review. Are you trying to say this board is not compatible with current manufactured FM2 chips? Because that is not the case. These work great with any of the FM2 chips I purchased. Maybe you tried to use an AM2 chip in it which won't work. Don't rate a product negatively due to your lack of knowledge on a subject.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SYBA PCI USB 2.0 4+1 port controller card Model SD-V2-5U
Cons: The drivers just didn't work. Installed in several machines, running xp, and vista, this thing didn't work in any of them. There was always hardware found but never a working driver for the hardware that was found. Tried the driver from the mfg website, but still to no avail.
Other Thoughts: Could be a damaged card, but i just don't have time to troubleshoot and mess with this.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 2.2 GHz 64 bit Dual Core AMD Processor, ATI Radeon 4650 1GB graphics card. This thing FLIES (for most stuff)! The heat Isn't really an issue. ESP compared to other comparable systems. My DELL XPS overheats alot. This thing really only needs a cooler if you run it max all the time. Plays Aion: Tower of Eternity on max settings. Plays most of my other games on max settings. Didn't really buy this FOR gaming but it does surprisingly well.
SOLID sturdy construction! This thing is BUILT to last. The keyboard on this is nice and solid! Key-sets don't even flex under heavy-handed typing when I'm really going at it.
Cons: Not sure if this is an issue with the Video card type , but this thing chugs badly on HD video, even youtube HD videos. This could be an issue with some of the bloatware(incompatibility?) I removed most of it, but not all yet. Bloatware is a definite CON! My DELL XPS system came with NO bloatware. This is loaded heavily with it. Still trying to remove it all.
Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a DELL XPS system that I started having serious problems with not too long after I got it. (Yes, it can definitely stand up to one of those performance-wise)
If you buy this, make sure to do a clean install. That may be my only other option. If you try to do a restore install of Windows using the backup functionality, it reloads all the bloatware as well. Get yourself a standard Vista or Windows 7 DVD first. I haven't tried Windows XP on this at all so no comment there.
ALL-in-ALL This system has some VERY impressive specs and solid sturdy construction. There is a bottleneck some were though that I can't seem to pinpoint. It seems like it should run a LOT faster and be a lot more responsively than it does.
