Pros: I have built over a half dozen system for clients with these cases. For the price, you cannot match them anywhere. I was just doing a build with an SSD and an HDD and was planning on rigging the SSD somewhere inside, then noticed that now there are prongs protruding from the bottom of the ODD cage, which fit a 2.5" drive perfectly! Couldn't be happier. USB 3.0, card reader, and a power supply for less than $40 in a slim form factor? Perfect HTPC case!
Cons: Too bad you have to mount it vertical on the feet, but that's how it's so slim. Cheap, thin steel, but that's why it's so inexpensive. I had a bear of a time getting the SSD to stay connected while putting the case together, you can't use an angled connector if there is an HDD installed underneath.
Other Thoughts: I hope Newegg carries these for some time, they are hard to beat. I don't use the fan, but would recommend springing for a nice quiet one if you need more cooling. The arrow that says where to screw in the ODD is always wrong, I go 1 from the back. Recommend installing the SSD label down to ease removal of the connector. Use the cable guid on the tope of the drive cage to keep the usb cables out of the way of the PSU fan intake. With the proper cable management, this is just about my favorite case for petite PCsREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi AFS1 Black Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with Speakerphone
Pros: I have had my eye on a compact bluetooth speaker for some time, and when a deal came up for the AFS1 I jumped on it. I had never heard of it or MEElectronics, but if the rebate came through it was at least worth a try. It got delivered, I took it out of the box (which I will never use again), charged it up, paired in seconds, and let 'er rip...
-So much better sound than the smartphone speakers, crisp highs with bass you could actually discern!
-Battery life has been great, just as described.
-Makes a saweet sound when you turn it off.
-Great Design: Lovely metallic finish, easy operation using feet/buttons (too cool)
-Fits right in a pocket while playing or can dangle from a hook by the lanyard.
-I have fallen asleep with it playing quietly under my pillow, so quietly that my wife can't hear. How many of us have wanted something like that?
-Can't wait to bust it out at a campfire.
-AND IT'S A SPEAKERPHONE!
Cons: -USB cord is proprietary, they should make it regular mini-usb, but I think the one from my busted R/C heli will fit =)
-Speaker grill is cloth, seems unnecessary. It doesn't gather lint like some say, (though I did think it was funny that even the product photo on Newegg featured what kind of looked like dandruff), but plastic would be fine. I have felt under the cloth and that's what it feels like. A pleasant metal finish wouldn't hurt either. Maybe they were trying to diffuse the sound coming out of the tiny speaker, because it does sound a lot bigger than it is! If I were a rich little brat, I would cut it off to see what it looked like underneath. Any volunteers?
-Range is meh. I had my phone in my right pocket, and the AFS1 in the left (or was it the other way round?) and the speaker would cut out. And I'm by no means obese. Putting the phone on the table with the speaker on a nearby shelf should work fine, but don't walk out of the room with your phone, because it will cut out.
Honestly, no serious complaints, just reporting the facts.
Other Thoughts: For the price, there is no product that comes close. They made it to cost so much more than it is selling for here. Heartily recommend!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Quiet, Unassuming, totally modular, Well packaged, great price with rebate,
Cons: Would be nice if modular plugs were failsafe... was underpowering my 12v CPU connector at first, plug was not seated firmly in PSU. Cables are soooo thick, but that's cause they're good.
Other Thoughts: Thought the rebate would never come, but it totally did! Newegg can't be beat.READ FULL REVIEW
