SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256BW 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: -Performs well enough that I don't even think about it

Cons: Nil to date

Other Thoughts: What can I say? Popped it in a year ago, was impressed with the results, haven't really though about it. If I'm playing games that need to load environments upon entering areas I'm always blown away by the quick load times.

NZXT SEN-001LX Sentry LX Aluminum dual bay fan controller

3 out of 5 eggs Beep, Beep, Beep 11/25/2013

This review is from: NZXT SEN-001LX Sentry LX Aluminum dual bay fan controller

Pros: -Looks Awesome!
-Works well for an amount of time!
-Up to 5 Fan control! Simple to operate!
-Easy installation (For control only)

Cons: Eventually something fails fan by fan, and the result is constant beeping that can't be turned off.

Other Thoughts: I started with 5 fans on this controller in manual mode (I'm no expert but taping a sensor doesn't seem like a mode of measurement reliable enough to determine operating parameters) with the fans running 1000. A week or so ago I was hearing an incessant beeping, and looked at the controller to see the fan speed for Fan #1 fluctuating wildly, and beeping about every 5 seconds when it hit 0. I said it could be the fan, and unplugged Fan #1 and plugged it into my stock case fan where it's worked fine since. 10 minutes ago fan #5 met the same fate.
I do like this machine a lot and will keep it, with 3 fans for now, and will probably try and find another application for it. Unfortunately as you can imagine, constant beeping is unbearable.
