GIGABYTE GV-N65TOC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: I work with point cloud data so I can't comment on this card for gaming, but when viewing multiple laser scans our cards take some heavy loads!! You can hear the load and the fans kick into high gear -- a great way to test what these cards can really handle.

At work we use some of the latest 3 and 4gb nvidia cards, while easily eating 32gb of ram like nothing. Point cloud data loves ram! I bought this card for my "work at home" pc and so far it handles data pretty close to our 3gb cards at the office. Though I can hear the card kick into high gear, its remains smooth and quiet while doing so.

I chose Gigabyte, because their reputation is good. I own one of their Z77 motherboards and have been more than happy. I don't care for the VGA display port on this card (probably never use it) - but I do appreciate that Gigabyte covers its bases making their cards suitable for users of all types. The extra DVI and HDMI display ports on the back + my trust in their name is what weighed my choice to buy this over the competing Zotac and EVGA 2gb cards.

Cons: My expectations verses the actual benchmarks on the 650ti left me slightly disappointed. I was expecting it to cross that median - bringing it closer to the 660 that the 650 non ti card. When comparing the prices of each and knowing you get what you pay for, I guess I shouldn't be.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had the extra money for a 4gb 670 or 680 card, but I don't. I'm pleased with my purchase so far and would buy it again.

Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 80mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

3 out of 5 eggs Loud - but could be the location 08/23/2012

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 80mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: Fits the side of my Cool Master 692 Advanced. Its slim.

Cons: Coolermaster is great on building nice products - but the worst when it comes to fulfilling rebates. Its been months and I'm still waiting to hear back from them on not 1 but 2 rebates. What are the odds?

Other Thoughts: Love my case and its been super quiet running on all Cooler Master fans (5 to be exact). I added this one to the side of my case (fan #6) and this one fan is a LOT LOUDER than all the others combined.

In all fairness, it might not be the fan but the location of the case where this fan is designed to go. Not a lot of room for air flow on the case's right side - so I'm guessing its creating some kind of back pressure and that is what "could" be causing excessive noise.

FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Brone Fully-Modular High Performance Power Supply ZT750W
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Though others are saying its loud, mine is running very quiet. Can barely hear it even if I place my ear next to it. Having modular cables is a big plus. 750watts for me is plenty.

I haven't received my rebate yet, but OCZ was one of the first to email me saying they received it and have approved it. They are on top of their game which makes me want to buy more from them.

Cons: The CPU power cable is short. Was hoping to cable manage it behind the motherboard, but this wasn't possible even with a straight vertical route from behind.

Only a partial con: Rebate comes as an AMEX card (but I'll use it here at Newegg to buy some fans).

Other Thoughts: Cables are slightly stiff, but most others are too. Its modular so the inside looks clean (less clutter and I love that). Cables are sleeved.

Overall I'm happy so far.

What do people use this included carry bag for? I'm clueless why a PSU needs this.
