Can't use..........
Pros: Nice and quiet, but not the reason for purchase.
Cons: Was misdirected or I misunderstood on features. I am replacing a failed HD2400 Pro card in a Dell Inspiron 530S (low profile w/ 250W power) and needed a card that would drop in place AND would drive my two flat screen monitors. This card is not capable of easily handling the two screens. I need to keep it simple, my old setup with the Dell supplied HD 2400 Pro card had a splitter cable with a main plug with 59 pins to go into the board and two DVI plugs, one for each monitor. This EAH4350 Silent/DI/512MD2(LP) only has a single DVI connection plus the HDMI connection.
Overall Review: Can anyone make a recommendation? I'm not into gaming but would like something that would improve my visual experience. I'm running two Samsung 213T monitors.
Day 3
Pros: The fan noise has dropped by about 5%, still noisy
Cons: OK, now in my 3rd day and I just had a graphics card semi-failure. Screen went blank, then came back on with a report that the NVIDA driver had failed. Eventually everything came back. However, by first computer salesman in the early 1980's long ago gave me a framed note: "Problems that go away by themselves, come back by themselves".
Overall Review: This is NOT starting out well at all.
Noisy!
Pros: It fits my physical requirements. Low profile, independent dual screen application in my Dell Inspiron 530S.
Cons: Noisy.....did I say NOISY? Sounds like a distant jet engine going up and down the power setting range. Very disappointed with this aspect (and a very important aspect to me). Also, at this time I haven't found a way to go to the higher resolution of 1600 x 1200 for my SamSung 213T screens. Other graphic cards went higher. Also, the control panel seems much less intuitive than my former ATI control panel.
