To clear up 120 hz as Computer

Changhong 40" 1080p LED HDTV - LED40YC1700UA
Changhong 40" 1080p LED HDTV - LED40YC1700UA

Pros: I DO NOT OWN THIS T.V. I am writing this to clear up facts that people give bad ratings for lack of understanding of technology. There is no such thing as a 120hz Broadcast, so this and any other 120hz T.V. are 60hz but use a separate processing unit to double the refresh rate for motion scenes. Even Blue-Ray is 60hz, there is no way to change this. When buying a 120hz T.V. to use as a Computer Monitor, you are actually causing stutter in gaming because of the time the T.V.'s Processor takes to Double the 60hz to 120hz. "IMPORTANT": TO AVOID THIS, BE SURE THE T.V. HAS A GAMING MODE OR A P.C. IN THAT WILL BYPASS THE T.V.'S OWN PROCESSOR. This will in-effect make the T.V. output the signal in its original 60hz. The Only ways to Date to get 120hz refresh on a T.V. as a Monitor is by using the latest HDMI 1.4b Input and the proper High through put HDMI cable on a 4K resolution T.V. subsequently you can also use the newer mini display ports and display ports. But the only Native 120hz T.V. is a 4K T.V. set.

Cons: None as I do not own this T.V.

Overall Review: I hope this helps clear up the 60hz-120hz issue for people that read this. Just think, it gets even MORE complicated with 3D T.V.'s Passive 3D T.V.'s use a screen both on the T.V. and in the glasses you use to split the 60hz (Remember there is no true 120hz) and give depth for 3D effect. So this in effect reduces the Horizontal Frame, so a 1920x1080 (1080p) actually becomes a 1920x540 in your brain. This can be overcome with the promise of 4K T.V.'s as they are Native 120HZ but will still require a 120hz signal to get to the T.V. meaning HDMI 1.4b on both the Video card and T.V. or Display port. So far, I haven't seen a feasible realistic implementation without being Daddy or Mommy Rich Bucks yet. The Greatest benefit with Passive 3D is the glasses are the same as the Movie theater and cheap. So people with Kids, or love to have people over or even don't want to deal with the psychological effects that may occure with Active 3D this is the way to go. Active 3D uses an IR emitter (Infra-red) and rather expensive glasses $70-$150 (Controlled by the IR emitter) that are larger than passive and have to be recharged (So no Movie theater glasses are gonna work with it). The trick with Active is the glasses act like shutters. That's right, very constant shutting of the lenses from Left to Right to achieve the 3D effect. This is Null and Void of the 60hz problem as the Technology is with the glasses and not splitting the actual signal. However, 1 of 10 people report Headaches after use and basic Psychology explains the dangers of Seizures with Rapid strobe lighting effects. But this is a more in-depth 3D experience, if you want to pay for all the hardware, glasses, and possible Eye Issues like Steve Martin in the Movie The Jerk :).

Screen protector

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Screen Protector, eForCity Clear LCD Screen Protector Shield Guard Film For Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Screen Protector, eForCity Clear LCD Screen Protector Shield Guard Film For Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

Pros: Does what its supposed to do. comes with micro fiber.

Cons: Does not cover the entire screen for an Edge Plus. It leaves the edges un protected. The cardboard squeegee stinks. Don't use it, it will scratch up the protector.

Overall Review: I will probably buy another protector that covers the full screen and edges.

Finished FUTURE BUILD ROG STRIX X870E-E

ASUS ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI AMD AM5 X870 ATX motherboard 18+2+2 power stages, Dynamic OC Switcher, Core Flex, DDR5 AEMP, WiFi 7, 5x M.2, PCIe 5.0, Q-Release Slim, USB4, AI OCing & Networking

Pros: 1. The Biggest pro that I couldn't find with any other MOBO Manufacturer was the 2nd x16 slot runs at PCIE 4 x 4 from the chipset! This means that when using SSD's at PCIE x5 doesn't disable it! Read below to see why this is important. 2. It's a very well built and feature rich board! Save $200 from buying the HERO and get this! The HERO's extra PCIE x16 lane also is disabled when using SSD's. 3. ASUS Hit The Ball OUT of the Park on this one! Worth the Money 4. No issues with drivers and just use BIOS Flash Back USB when installing an X3D processor.

Cons: 1. If I had to gripe about something! It's not an EXTENDED ATX MOBO. I understand as it also fits into mid towers fine! But it does make it hard to install Sata 3 cables when using large video cards. Be sure to put the SATA 3 cables in BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE GRAPHICS CARD! 2. It doesn't walk the DOG!

Overall Review: CASE: ASUS ROG HYPRION GR701 EATX MOBO: ROG STRIX X870E-E MEMORY: 32 GB G. SKILL Trident Royal Neo at 8000mhz (these are A dies from SK Hynix) PROCESSOR: AMD 9950X3D VIDEO: AMD Power Color Hell Hound 7900 XTX THE REST: Pick your own SSD's and DAC's way more than enough options I NEVER thought I would pay this much for a MOBO! But it's worth it! My case (listed above) has 2 USB GEN 3 2X2's and can-do USB 4. The HERO version of this board (for$200 more) supports that! But why pay that to just put an add in card? PCIE 3x4 is all you need! Currently I can't find a USB 4 front panel add in card, but they will come and PCIE 4x4 Is enough to push it, I'll keep looking. I've been building my own computers for a long time! This is by FAR, the best MOBO I happily OWN! Worth the Money! I got 8 years out of my last computer which is still sweet but gave it away! Asus did a great job on this MOBO as the MAIN Video card slot will drop to PCIE 16 x4 when using the NVME slots! Video cards are just now pushing the PCIE 3 x16 slot to its limits! My 7900 XTX runs just fine on that BUS with DDR3 2400mhz Memory! It will be 5 years or more until a consumer Video card can actually take advantage of PCIE 5 x16, and then what will you need it for? ASUS thought this board out way ahead of their competitors.

Future build UPDATED!

Pros: No Memory any beautiful Supposedly Hynix A die controller "From what I've read" I've spent more for top-of-the-line Memory UPDATED! The lights on an ASUS ROG STRIX are awesome synced with all the others.

Cons: I haven't used it yet till the 9950x3d appears. I'll update then. UPDATE! Works Perfectly with a 9950x3d using EXPO profile NO CONS AT ALL!

Overall Review: Most Beautiful Memory I've ever bought. This is supposed to be handpicked. You get what you pay for. This will go into: Rog Strix X870E-E X9950x3d Rog Hyperion case I'm trusting ASUS and Gskill will be most compatible with Hynix A

Great

SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 250GB SSD SATA III Internal Solid State Drive MZ-N5E250BW with USB 3.0 HUB
SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 250GB SSD SATA III Internal Solid State Drive MZ-N5E250BW with USB 3.0 HUB

Pros: Samsung SSD drive and the newer Samsung Magician software works with it. Faster than the 54,000 RPM drive the laptop came with Came with a nice little 4 port USB 3.0 Hub.

Cons: Does not have a M.2 screw or stud You can not do a secure erase on these as far as I can tell. It always wants you to remove the drive to do it. Unfortunately removing the drive takes it out of the bios memory and you have to reboot to get the drive acknowledged again, this makes a loop to go back to remove the drive again.

Overall Review: I knew it did not come with the screw or stud, and finding those are very hard. I blame the laptop manufacturer for that. Remember that this is a SATA 3 M.2 drive and not a PCI-E M.2 drive.

Works great.

ORICO 2588S3 Tool Free 2.5-Inch SATA to USB3.0 External Hard Drive Disk Enclosure, Optimized for SSD, Support UASP Transfer Protocol - Black
ORICO 2588S3 Tool Free 2.5-Inch SATA to USB3.0 External Hard Drive Disk Enclosure, Optimized for SSD, Support UASP Transfer Protocol - Black

Pros: Works as advertised Easy to swap drives in and out of it

Cons: It gets 4 eggs because of a design flaw. The 2.5" seating is about an 1/8 of an inch too long. This means that if you move the enclosure the drive disconnects inside. I solved this problem by using a small wooden cigarette match (with the lighting end pinched off). I placed it behind the drive before closing the enclosure and URIKA! Now you can shake the enclosure and no problems.

Overall Review: If they would had just included a piece of plastic or something to solve the problem I would have given it 5 eggs.
