Exactly what I asked for

Diamond BVU165LT USB External Video Display Adapter
Diamond BVU165LT USB External Video Display Adapter

Pros: Exactly what I asked for at an extremely competitive price.

Cons: Some other devices are USB 3.0 compliant. This one is 2.0, which makes it a somewhat dated component, but for the price point, what do you really expect?

Overall Review: My main concern with this device is lifetime. It's only got a 1 year warranty, and I've personally witnessed similar devices manufactured by HP that die within a few weeks of use from too much heat, so I'm paying close attention to how long this device lasts, and how hot it gets. It hasn't died yet, though, so I'm optimistic!

A great laptop, assuming the clock issue is just an anomoly

Pros: This beast has a 4k display, 16 gigs of ram, and a 256 gig hard drive. I didn't really buy it for gaming, though I confirmed that it runs skyrim at lower resolutions. I intend to run visual studio 2013 on it. For that stated purpose, this machine is great. I can fit hundreds of lines of code in my code windows at the highest resolutions. It's crazy!

Cons: The biggest problem that I have with this laptop is that It keeps track of time very poorly. When I originally got the laptop, it would leap forward a few days every few times that it boot. I sent the laptop in for repairs, and they replaced the harddrive and keyboard, but the date issue persists. Just today it leaped forward twice, from Jan 15 to 16 at 2pm, and then from 16 to 17 at 7pm. The fact that I had it RMA'd a few weeks ago makes it even more frustrating because the RMA process takes nearly 2 weeks to complete.<br><br>This laptop isn't really a "gaming" laptop. True, I can run skyrim and oblivion on it, but not with maxed resolution I can't. The FPS at that resolution is too low to consider it a real 'gaming' laptop. Drop the resolution down to more conventional resolutions and it plays relatively well for a $1000 laptop, but if you're buying this laptop for a 4k resolution gaming laptop, you might want to splurge for one that has at least 4G dedicated video ram, as this machine only has 2G.<br><br>Also, the fan is annoying at times, but you're only going to notice if you're sensitive to sound.

Overall Review: I got this laptop specifically because it had a 4k display, 16 gigs of ram, and an i7 processor. In that regard, it doesn't disappoint. I do have enough complaints to give it only 4 stars though.
