This review is from: Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad 2 and New iPad Model 920-004013
Pros: The keyboard is very functional.
> The keys are reasonably sized and spaced considering the iPad footprint.
> The keys give good touch feedback.
> The home key and function keys are useful.
It works well as a stand.
> Using it as a stand is great for watching videos.
> It is still simple to plug-in the iPad while it is in the stand.
> Great viewing angle for use as a giant alarm clock (with the right app), or to plug-in and leave my calendar viewable on my desk.
I can use my entire screen for email, documents, reminders, etc.
> Hiding the virtual keyboard gives you back nearly half of the iPad screen.
> Emails are much faster to compose because of the increased screen area and more effective keyboard.
It fits the iPad well.
> The design (opened or closed) compliments the professional look of the iPad.
> When opened, the keyboard/iPad combination looks and feels like a small touchscreen laptop.
> The magnetic hold on the docked iPad is adequate to hold it in place.
> The battery life on the keyboard is longer than the battery life on my iPad. I usually plug in the keyboard when I charge my iPad, but I have forgotten a few times. The keyboard still functioned well even with extended use over several days.
> As advertised, the keyboard and iPad activate when opened.
> It is incredibly light and thin, like the iPad.
> It is simple to connect and use.
Cons: > Like the iPad screen, the reflective finish of the keyboard shows fingerprints and smudges quickly.
> This is NOT a protective case. Dropping your iPad with this cover attached just means you will damage both products. It does not latch shut and the mediocre hinge magnet disconnects easily.
> The regular touchscreen use of the iPad is diminished with the case. You either need to use the stand/keyboard or completely disconnect it. There is no way to flip it open to use the iPad flat.
> When compressed in my bag, the keyboard leaves a line on my screen. The pressure of other objects against the stored iPad seems to transfer something from the white rubbery edge of the keyboard to the center of my screen. I have been able to clean this line off so far, but I again reference by comment about this not being a protective case.
Other Thoughts: I have been using the case for a couple weeks. Based on the reviews I read prior to purchase, the product works as I expected. The keyboard makes my iPad much more useful (the well designed keyboard combined with hiding the iPad's virtual keyboard is a winning combination). Needing to remove the keyboard to use the iPad flat, and its inability to protect the iPad are the reasons I did not rate it a five.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Ergotron 33-296-195 LX Triple/Dual Display Lift Stand
Pros: Well packaged.
Cons: The stand is not built well enough to handle two 30-inch monitors. While the specs state it can take up to 48 lbs, the brackets that hold the individual monitors cannot handle a 20 lb monitor. I could not get my Dell 30-inch monitors (20.4 lbs each) to be level because the monitor brackets twisted under the weight.
This stand also requires a substantial amount of desk space. I expected a large base in front of the monitors, but I did not expect the long extension behind the monitors. The stand pushed my monitors a good 6 to 8 inches farther off the back wall of my desk than my stock Dell monitor stands. This stand really eats-up a lot of desk space.
The back leg of the monitor stand does not have rubber feet on it, so it marred my desk. There are several rubber feet on the stand, but the back two feet are just rough plastic.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy this stand for 30-inch monitors or any monitors that push the weight limits.READ FULL REVIEW
