Pros: Normally I wouldn't waste my time but I got an interesting email from the company asking me to submit a review. I cook but not seriously therefore I don't measure. Just throw stuff in a pot. However occasionally I need a postal scale. The only way I can tell the accuracy is by weighing a penny or nickel. A nickel is 5g exact. Penny 2.5g. Several measures gave me different weights but was within 1 gram. That is, the accuracy seems to be +/- 1 gram. Okay for my use I guess. I've only had it a week though so we'll see although I read several other reviews that said they didn't have any problems even after a year.
Cons: I knocked off an egg because I really don't know how reliable this is. It seems pretty well built but.... the product box was pretty smashed in on one side. This happened before it was repacked by newegg. The scale itself wasn't damaged though and it still seemed to be accurate however a scale is not the kind of thing that you want to be knocking around so shame on whoever shipped this.READ FULL REVIEW

Cons: my lg player is terrible for streaming netflix. 1) you can't set it up to just stream netflix. you have to start with their main menu, wait, go to the apps menu, wait, go to the netflix menu and then scroll thru a bunch of thumbnails, wait. complete waste of time. 2) trying to stream something I haven't watched before often kicks me back to the main menu and I have to start all over. it's taken me sometimes 30 mins to actually watch something. most of the time I just give up. 3) it's always locking up and I have to unplug/plug to reset the player 4) it loses the network/netflix settings which are really frustrating to set up. 5) when there is a software update, a few times I had no choice but to update and the whole process can take 20-30 mins 6) my latest problem. after watching netflix for several months. suddenly I can't watch anything. just out of the blue, late one night it died. rebooted the cable modem, no help. rebooted the router, no help. research the net and try various hocus pocus routines, no help. deactivated netflix, no help. finally I reset the player back to factory defaults and it worked again except it took about 20 mins to set it back up. altogether maybe 2 hrs wasted. I have no excuse for continuing to waste my time with this. Oh and also, the player itself has trouble playing certain formats that I had no problem with on my old dvd player. though I haven't had an issue with commercial discs.READ FULL REVIEW

LG is terrible for streaming netflix. The software/firmware is incredibly awful. 1) you pick something to watch and it kicks you out of the menus and you have to start all over, and it does this over and over and over. Sometimes it takes a half hour or longer to actually watch anything. 2) the firmware is continually crashing and you have to actually unplug the player and then plug it in again to restart. Very frustrating. 3) you can't set it up to do just one thing like watch netflix. no, you have to go thru at least two menus every time you start the player. so it's pick, wait, pick, wait, pick, wait... 4) it very often loses my network/netflix settings which are a huge pain to set up. if I wasn't so cheap and I had the time to shop around, I'd take a hammer to this thing and ship the pieces back to LG. LG doesn't stand for 'life is good'. it's more like 'life is a grind' using their products.
