ASUS RT-N56U Wireless Router Dual Band N600 Multimedia Ultra Slim Gigabit 802.11a/b/g/n support USB Storage, Print and Media Server
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Easy Set up.
Very user friendly interface.
Extremely fast speeds on either band.
Looks cool.

Cons: None right now

Other Thoughts: The first one I ordered from newegg had issues right out of the box (stuck WAN IP that wouldn't ever change). RMA'd it from newegg and the problem was solved on the next one that I received. The second one worked right out of the box with no issues at all. First time I used Newegg RMA service and it was fantastic.

Intel 520 Series Cherryville SSDSC2CW240A3K5 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Extremely fast. I have used Intel's 510 and 320 in the past for different computers, but this [relatively] new SSD puts the past ones to shame. Worked right out of the box with no issues.

Cons: Had to knock off an egg because compared to other manufacturers (such as OCZ), it is relatively expensive (<$200 vs. $250+) and because sequential write was about half of what was listed, although this could be because I'm not an absolute SSD guru.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you read up on how to properly set up your Mobo via BIOS before using your SSD, or you may not be able to get the stated manufactured speeds.

WIP score for Primary Hard Disk: 7.9

Using AS SSD Benchmark:
Actual available space: ~ 223 GB
seq read: ~500 MB/s
seq write: ~230 MB/s (much lower than expected)
4k random read: ~57500 iops
4k random write: ~49500 iops

EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Excellent card! I can also get ultra graphics on any games (SC2, Skyrim, CoD, etc) with no lag, FPS no lower than 40-45, and all while getting no hotter than 65°C with stock cooling. Handles multitasking like a boss.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I wasn't sure if this card was going to be quite enough for some of the newer graphic-demanding games. Well, it is. I got this card with the $20 rebate EVGA was having - and haven't regretted it. I was thinking about going up a step for an extra 50-100, but I'm glad I didn't! It would have been such a waste of money.

This is easily one of the best bangs for your bucks that you can get!
