Pros: Low Power
Cons: Runs HOT!
Other Thoughts: I purchased a one of these a year ago. I purchased this one to add to my NAS system for RAID 1 and would you believe that when moving from chassis to the new one, my older drive failed and is no longer in warranty!!!
WD drives are extremely reliable they are the only thing we use at work but my luck in my personal system I have not been able to experience this. Seagate has had a much more reliable track record for me.
My 2TB Green WDC Drive died 3 months after purchase and the 1TB Green died 1 week after install. Fortunately my other drives were covered under warranty and they do have good warranty service.
I just have really bad luck with my drives from WDC. At work we have nearly 200 various drives Blue, Black, and Red and we have only had one go bad in the past 2 years...
Pros: 990FX at a good price
Cons: Unreliable. USB locks up system or causes it to reboot.
Other Thoughts: I have 4 of these boards in my possession at this time. All of them developed USB issues. If you plug in a USB flash drive, the system would reboot. We spent months trying to figure out the issue.... New Ram, new CPU, etc. Countless driver reinstalls... Nothing worked. We finally swapped out these boards with a competitor's 990fx board and have not had a lick of trouble with them since. Same Ram, CPU and video cards. I have purchased a few ASROCK boards in the past and have had good luck with them but the EXTREME 3 board has something fundamentally wrong with it.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Leap Motion LM-010 Motion controller
Pros: Good quality of build. USB 3.0 connectable for better throughput.
Cons: Poor usability. Has own app-store.
Other Thoughts: After hooking it up and setting up my account to download drivers and software, I could not get it to function as a mouse/touch-screen. Turns out you have to download an application that makes the unit work like a mouse. This is a fantastic concept. But unfortunately mine is back in its box and sitting on my shelf till they release more refined software to make this a usable device for everyday computing.READ FULL REVIEW
