This review is from: SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC Flash Card with adapter
Pros: Works perfectly in Lumia 640XL phone. All 128GB recognized.
Cons: None, no issues at all.
Other Thoughts: Haven't done any speed tests but it's definitely not slow. Excellent value at "special buy" pricing.READ FULL REVIEW
1) I use this for viewing broadcast TV ONLY, and I cannot comment as to recording capability or ability to receive unencoded cable signals.
2) Reviewing based on the latest firmware update, V13a. Performance and usability are progressively worse the farther back you go with earlier versions.
> Upconverts TV to 1080p
> Can pass multi-channel audio codecs over HDMI
> Excellent picture quality
> Fast channel switching
> Sensitive tuner, much better than my older "famous-brand" STB.
Cons: > Some minor annoyances as mentioned by other reviewers, such as transparent program guides being hard to see.
> Lately there has been an issue where the sound over HDMI begins to stutter/drop out after about an hour of use. I do not know if it's a heat problem, or perhaps memory corruption. A quick off/on cycle cures it. This may only happen when upconverting to 1080p, I have not fully investigated.
> Obtaining latest firmware is not straightforward, see below.
Other Thoughts: The manufacturer's manual and web site are not too good at all. To learn what you really need to know as an owner, you should go to a popular audio/visual forum that has a long thread devoted to this device; just search on "iView-3500STB" and it will show right up. As one example, the manufacturer's site does NOT offer the latest firmware; but the forum has a link to it. That is important: for example, updating to V13a seems to have increased the tuner sensitivity by about 50%!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Very high "bang for the buck" when bought in a Newegg saver bundle. Does almost everything a phone costing 4X as much does, and very well overall. It is very responsive and doesn't feel "laggy". Build quality seems very good for this price point. I dropped it once on a hard floor and it survived without damage. Touchscreen is very good, sensitivity neither too low nor too high (selectable between 2 levels). Immediately accepted, and knew what to do with, an SD card; no problem there. It's VERY nice that you can easily take the back off and remove/replace the battery, SIM card, and SD card.
Cons: Really none considering the price.
The only significant feature "missing" is a front camera, so that video chat (Skype) is not much good. But of course I knew that before buying. The rear camera is good/adequate, but not outstanding as on some of the pricier Nokia models.
Other Thoughts: Basically the phone does everything sort of transparently, user satisfaction will most likely be determined by:
> Windows OS. Some will like it and some (primarily extreme ios or Android freaks) may not. Personally I think it is fine and like some of the unique features such as the active tiles on the home page. If you cannot live without thousands of obscure apps and games, then Windows may not be for you, at least not yet.
> Provider Network. The only communication issue I've had resulted from a quirk in the network service (which their Help center immediately took care of) and had nothing to do with the phone itself.
In summary, the phone just works, and the only things you will get by paying more will be a little more speed, or enhanced bells/whistles such as a front camera or a more capable rear camera.
